R.I.P. Billy Poole
From Black Diamond Team Webpage:
Billy Poole started skiing up in the cold, wild mountains of Montana, but is now based at the powder mecca of Alta, Utah. With tons of magazine covers and film parts in the past few seasons, Billy is known to mix up his powerful big-mountain style with some smooth moves- and represents the modern wave of progressive freeskiing.
And in the true spirit of freeriding, Billy is in it for the fun and the lifestyle. Second to deep powder and buffed parks, Billy has a strong affection to spicy Nachos and cold beer. He can be spotted after a day on the hill at the Sitzmark Club in the Alta Lodge- that is when he’s not traveling to Canada or wherever else the powder lures him.
Billy’s recent backcountry expolits in Little Cottonwood Canyon led him to be the first guy to jump over the telephone wires at Cardiff Pass. That’s a huge kicker at 3000m and a stuntman huck over 30 feet up. What’s wilder than accomlishing this stunt is even coming up with the idea!
Rest in peace Billy, you will be missed.
