Despite having record breaking snowfall last year, November 07′ was a bit disappointing in Utah. It pretty much consisted of endless checking the forecast with no snow on the horizon and skiing Baldy Main Chute over and over in a desperate attempt to will Ullr’s awesome force to the state.
With that lingering fear in mind, I was more than relived when it started dumping snow early this month. Blah blah blah…here are some photos and video.

A BIG THANKS to our diligent photographer Alex who stopped midway down a pow run (how on earth he did it, I have no idea) and busted out an awesome camera to snap these shots!

I managed to make my ankle swell-tastic while skiing Sunday at the ‘bird, but hopefully I’ll be back in my boots by the end of the week and I’ll be able to put together some video footage for HelmetCast 10.
Also, the video downloads from last week (08/09 Ski Update 4) have been fixed to play in Quicktime properly…
Other than winter, Utah is most scenic in the fall. While the summer is nice for swimming, hiking, and even skiing this year, everything becomes dry and dusty rather quickly, but in Fall the rain comes and trees turn 45 different colors and mountain biking gets muddy and damn fun.
Here is some photographic proof of that from the Spiro and Mid-Mountain Trails in Park City last Saturday.

There is no denying that I’ve been lacking on the photo front in the last couple months. Between skiing out the season like it was my last, school, and trying to dial down my bike I just haven’t been snapping quite as many photos as I’ve wanted to. To try and make up for that and motivate myself back into my old photog ways I’m going to post up a few photos from a Flying Dog lap Mike and I did a couple weeks back. They’re not the greatest shots, but hopefully they’re the first of many.
Well, that’s it for now. Look for the 8th HelmetCast later this week or whenever I get more than 10m of free time. There will be crest, bobsled, and evil empire footage so stay tuned!
