Alta 10/18

Oh wow. It was that good.

Up at 5:30am, shower, quick food, hit the road…same drill as before.

A cold early morning…

…turned into a bluebird day.

Jason (pardon the blurriness, apparently my camera has decided to suck forever)

Jason (it’s good this is blurry, because if it wasn’t the awesomeness of it would bring you to tears)

Me wondering how far the white goes…

More storms on the horizon? See you this Saturday, bright and early.

Alta 10/07

In case you did not know, Utah has been getting a ridiculous pre-season dumping and the snow today was unreal. I say it is because my 20th birthday is in two days…others say it is some storm system or whatever.

Here are pictures from the epic day Josh, Jason, Tim, Adrian, and I had.

Guardsman Pass 9/29

I woke up this saturday to one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen in a long time…snowfall, right outside my dorm.
Coming down in huge amounts over several hours, my roommate and I decided to head for higher ground. More specifically, Guardsman Pass on the far north side of Brighton ski resort. At almost 10,000′ we were sure there we be a treasure trove of snow there for the taking. Unfortunately, it seems Big Cottonwood canyon did not get much more snow than our dorms, but Wes (my roommate) and I decided to hike for some first season tracks anyway.

Departing from the dorm parking lot.

For my first ski of the year I choose a must stick, no fall chute off a 15 degree slope.

So it wasn’t the biggest day or the most epic, but it was a ski day in September and the first of many for this season!

Blackhawk Trail 9/27

18 miles of riding on beat up ground and climbing 1000′ three times made for some tough climbing. Here are some photos.

I love the clouds in this picture.

This was pretty close to the summit.

The sign said ‘Middle of Nowhere 0.1m’ (1st: Me 2nd: Josh)

Cows and horses.

Snowing at the dorms right now…so I’m amped. May go up for some pictures tomorrow at Snowbird.
